In many houses we are being told that internet is a waste of time, that it is making us laise and that many people is becoming adicted to it. Maybe they are right, but things can't be seen always in a negative way. It's true that know a days with the internet and all the information that we can find we don't have to waste time serching in books, that can take us a day and that will be a waste of time, when we can do it in 5 min just asking in a search page for what we want.
Another thing that parents say about internet is messenger, everything has bad and good things in life, if we get addicted to it and star talking with stragers it can be bad, but that is why parents have to educate there children of what is good and bad. Messenger is making us seem closer, we can speak with a persona that can be in the other side of the world with just typing what we want to say and send it, this way we can comunicate with friends and family that had to go to another country for some reason.
The last thing that parents are always asking about is Facebook, they are mad because they thing it is very dangerous that there sons enter there personal information and picture on these pages, but what they don't know is that these page has an option that if you want only your friends to see your things you just have to make a click and everything will become private.
To finish, I just want to tell that Internet is not a bad thing, what we should do is to educate people on how to use it, give all the posible information so that these stop being a thing that aprents hate and that they get to know that it has many benefits.

I think that the use of the Internet is important today because every day we must confront new technologies and is not a waste of time, this depends on the proper use that students, children, adolescents used in, then it is necessary that Parents raised that any excess can be harmful and therefore we must find a balance between the wishes of their children and their educational needs and the danger of inappropriate content that conveys the wide diversity of the network. In order is not forbidden to connect, but to regulate the conditions of connection: the Internet is a tool and as such must learn to use properly (like television, use of the i-pot, cellular, etc.).
I believe that the use of thhe internet it's not that bad...I guess it depend of hw you use it...if you waste you time on it.. most likely is that you're no using it correctlly...but there's people who spend their time on intenet making investiations...seaching for information...reading...doing pductives things...the use depend of the person...I'm agree when my partner said that the internet is a tool and it has to be used properly.
Our parents can sometimes have to right to say that. The Internet is a great tool student, but can also become a danger. People from around the world are connected through this network, ignoring the real interests of those with which you speak.
The Internet should have a balanced use, while you know what you do I believe that there will be no problem.
I'm completely agree with my partner, the Internet is not a bad tool, there are bad people who use the information to commit actions against the integrity of others persons. Currently the management of the Internet is vital in the development of activities, for example, the means of communication between students and professors at the university is through the Web catalog, another example, this blog is created with academic purposes.
Well, i´m agree whit the article and all the point of veiw that parents can afford trying to stop the big dependence that in years young people are taking to the internet.
But we have to began to know how to live whit the tecnology, because in some cases the tecnology and in this case the internet can have more power than we have in ours lives, for that i think that the best way to live whit the evolution of teh tecnology it`s to be educate.
In my case my parents are so far to live whit the internet like i live, because i´m at internet almost 5 hours at lest per day, but something that i have in count when i´m at internet it`s to use it the best way as i can, words that my mother always told to me when i´m at the computer.
Sometimes my mother turn off the computer no matter what happen later or what i´m was doing this moment, she just said it`s enogh for today that´s it, and i have to accept because she have her grounds to unstuck me to the internet, because the 90% of the time i´m on facebook or msn.
The internet is generally a very friendly place. People love getting email from strangers, and friendships. The "impersonal" aspect of email tends to encourage people to reveal surprisingly personal things about themselves. When you know you will never have to meet someone face-to-face, you may find it easier to tell them your darkest secrets. Cyber-friendships have often developed into real life ones too. Many people have even found love on the Net, and have gone on to marry their cyber-partner.
I think that the internet is an excellent tool, but it can't replaces the information that we can find in the books because this information is more reliable, while the information that we find on the internet most of the time are opinions from people without valid arguments and are posted by people who wants to make jokes or create false expectations about the existence of uncommon things only for fun. In my opinion most of the time the parents can think that the internet is bad for some activities, but if we take care about what we do, this can become a great tool.
I think the internet revolution had give us lot's of new opportunities of knowledgemnet of communication with all parts of the world. only an effective and responsible use of it will give us only satisfactions and a correct use of it. parents don't have to be afraid, we really now more than them of how to use it, and obatin the maximum benefits of it. so it´s an excellent tool to enter in the modern world.
i think that internet is a good way to enter to the new technologies we can find a lot information, we can make an investigation, an a lot of things important to do it a work.
but unfortunately other people use it to do it bad things.
or other people only see facebook or msn or download music...
it´s depend of the use of the person....
